In the High Tatras there is a lot of ski lifts in several mountain resorts. The biggest ones are Štrbské Pleso, Hrebienok, Ždiar and Lomnické sedlo, the most elevated ski area in Slovakia (2190 m). If you would like to ski outside of the Tatras, there are several smaller resorts in the region with excellent services for skiers and snowboarders.
If the weather permits, you can also visit some of the year-round open mountain challets and stroll on the hiking trails.
And if you get really cold in a authentic mountain winter, you can warm up in thermal water parks in the region – we especially recommend AQUACITY Poprad, 7 kilometers away from the guesthouse. But there are others, like Aqapark Tatralandia, Thermal Park Bešeňová, Thermal park Vrbov or the Vyšné Ružbachy spas.
